Strawberry Hydrosol is a fruit water – the light aromatic water drawn off when fresh strawberries (Fragaria × ananassa) are steam-distilled. Two honest things set it apart from a floral hydrosol. It comes from fruit, not flowers, so it is a fruit water – and calling it "floral" is simply wrong. And strawberry fruit holds very little distillable aroma, so the water is softly, faintly sweet – not the loud, jammy scent the name might lead a shopper to expect.

That shapes how it is best sold. On its own it is a clean, mildly acidic cosmetic water that hydrates and tones, and the strawberry character rides along as a gentle bonus rather than the headline. Where a formula needs a rounder, longer-lasting strawberry note, that is added as a declared cosmetic fragrance – openly listed, never hidden behind an all-fruit story. It reaches you ready to use and honestly preserved: because it is water-based it carries sodium benzoate at up to 1.5%, stated on the label. We run the still ourselves. The strawberries are steam-distilled into hydrosol in our own facility, in bulk — not bought in as a ready-made scented water and relabelled. That means you are talking to the people who made it, and every drum can be traced back to the batch it came from.

Straight about the preservative. A water needs protecting, so ours carries sodium benzoate at up to 1.5%, and we put it on the label. We would rather state a preservative plainly than sell a water as though it keeps itself.

Straight about the scent. Strawberry fruit surrenders almost no aroma to the still, so the honest distillate is only lightly fruity. When a brief calls for a bigger, lasting strawberry note, we reach for a declared cosmetic fragrance and name it on the sheet — no pretending the smell came from the fruit alone.
