Orange Blossom Hydrosol

Orange Blossom Hydrosol – also called neroli water or orange flower water – is the aromatic water collected when the blossoms of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium amara) are steam-distilled. It is a hydrosol: mostly water, carrying orange blossom's soft, sweet floral-citrus scent and a gentle, fresh character. We supply it for external cosmetic use – as a facial mist and toner, in light formulations, and in aromatherapy.

Unlike an essential oil, a hydrosol is gentle and used as it is, not diluted – you mist it straight onto the skin. Because it is water-based, we preserve it with sodium benzoate (not more than 1.5%) so it holds its shelf life, and we state that openly rather than calling it preservative-free. We make it here in India, steam-distilling bitter orange blossoms ourselves, and ship it in bulk with a certificate of analysis for every batch.
