Frangipani Fragrance Oil

The scent is lush and creamy-floral with a soft citrus lift and a faint musk underneath – recognisably tropical without ever tipping into suncream or sugar. It reads as a holiday rather than a perfume counter, which is exactly why it keeps selling in candles and summer ranges year after year.

In a candle or a reed diffuser this one carries properly. The cold throw tells you what you are getting before it is lit, and the hot throw reaches across a room rather than staying near the jar – the difference between a candle someone burns to the end and one left on a shelf.

Soap is where most florals fade within weeks of the cure. This accord holds its character through saponification and right through the full cure, so a bar made today still smells tropical many months later. It behaves predictably at trace and does not seize or accelerate in a standard cold-process base.

Blended into a body mist or a solid perfume at the usual dilution, it sits close to the skin rather than projecting right across a room. The tropical sweetness softens within the first hour into something warmer and creamier, which makes it comfortable enough to wear straight through a day.

Frangipani performs across soy, paraffin, coconut and blended waxes, with good cold and hot throw and a clean pour that does not cloud up a container. It suits summer, tropical and spa candle ranges particularly well, and it layers very comfortably alongside coconut, vanilla and citrus for richer seasonal compositions.

It holds through cold-process, hot-process and melt-and-pour bases and right through the full cure, keeping its tropical character where lighter floral accords simply disappear altogether. It behaves predictably at trace without seizing or ricing at all, which is precisely what separates a workable soap fragrance from a thoroughly frustrating one.

Body mists, solid perfumes, lotions, creams and bath bombs all take frangipani well at the standard fragrance levels within the published IFRA limits. It blends readily with jasmine, ylang-ylang, vanilla, sandalwood and citrus, and it gives a whole range a tropical signature that customers recognise instantly on a crowded shelf.

Reed diffusers, room sprays, wax melts and incense sticks all use frangipani for a sweet tropical atmosphere with real staying power. It dissolves cleanly in the usual diffuser bases and in perfumer's alcohol, and a fairly modest quantity of it will readily scent a large room without ever becoming overpowering.
