Clear Jojoba Oil

Clear Jojoba Oil

Clear Jojoba Oil

Clear jojoba oil is the carrier oil formulators reach for when they want a truly neutral base. It's the refined, deodorised form of jojoba – colourless and odourless – so it slips into any formulation without tinting a cream or interfering with a fragrance. What makes jojoba special is chemistry: it isn't a triglyceride oil at all, but a liquid wax ester – the closest plant oil to the skin's own sebum.

That's why it absorbs so readily, feels light and non-greasy, and is so well tolerated, with a low comedogenic rating (~2) that suits even oily and combination skin. Being a wax ester also makes it exceptionally stable and slow to oxidise, giving it a long shelf life. It carries essential oils and actives cleanly, and naturally contains vitamin E. Supplied from 100 ML to 10 KG, with COA and MSDS, from Raasa Oils – for external cosmetic use.

Clear Jojoba Oil Benefits

Liquid Wax Ester

Jojoba is unlike most carrier oils – not a triglyceride but a liquid wax ester, chemically close to the skin's own sebum. That's why it absorbs so readily and feels so at home on skin, leaving a light, non-greasy finish. The "clear" grade is refined and deodorised for a completely neutral base.

Non-Comedogenic

With a low comedogenic rating (around 2), clear jojoba oil is a light, fast-absorbing facial oil that suits most skin types, including oily and combination skin. Its sebum-like character makes it a comfortable, non-greasy daily moisturiser and a favourite base for serums and facial oils.

Long-Lasting

Because it's a wax ester rather than a triglyceride, jojoba is remarkably resistant to oxidation – it doesn't turn rancid the way many oils do, giving it a long shelf life. That stability makes it a dependable, low-maintenance base ingredient for cosmetic formulations and blends.

Odourless Base

Clear jojoba's refined, colourless, odourless profile makes it the formulator's neutral canvas – it won't tint a white cream or interfere with a carefully built fragrance. It carries essential oils and actives cleanly, which is why it's so widely used across serums, lotions, and lip products.

Clear Jojoba Oil Uses

Skincare Products

Clear jojoba oil is a favourite in facial oils, serums, moisturisers, and lotions for its lightweight, sebum-like feel and non-comedogenic character. Its neutral, colourless, odourless profile lets it slip into any formulation without interfering with colour or scent – a versatile base for premium natural skincare.

Hair Care Products

Clear jojoba oil is used in shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in treatments as a light, non-greasy emollient. It smooths and conditions the hair and scalp without weighing hair down, adding softness and shine — a stable, scalp-friendly base valued in premium, salon-grade hair products.

Cosmetic Products

Because it mimics the skin's own oils and stays colourless and odourless, clear jojoba is an ideal base for lip balms, glosses, and colour cosmetics. It gives a smooth glide and lasting moisture without altering colour or fragrance — perfect for hydrating, non-sticky lip and makeup formulations.

Massage Base

Its smooth glide, stability, and gentle profile make clear jojoba a favoured massage base. Beyond cosmetics, jojoba is also a genuine industrial lubricant – its high flash point and viscosity index make it valued in specialist lubricants and metalworking fluids, a rare oil that bridges beauty and industry.

Chemistry. Jojoba isn't a triglyceride oil – it's a liquid wax ester, the closest plant oil to the skin's own sebum. That's why it absorbs so readily, feels light and non-greasy, resists oxidation, and is so well tolerated by most skin types.

Clear is refined and deodorised – colourless and odourless, ideal where you don't want the oil to affect a product's colour or scent. Golden is unrefined, keeping its natural colour and faint aroma. Both share jojoba's wax-ester character and stability.

Yes, it's non-comedogenic (~2) and sebum-similar, so it works as a light, non-clogging moisturiser that most oily and combination skin types tolerate well. As always, patch test first.

No, jojoba is a carrier oil, used neat on skin and hair, and it's also what you dilute essential oils into. It's an excellent, stable carrier for aromatherapy and serum blends.

Two years or more – because it's a wax ester rather than a triglyceride, it's highly resistant to oxidation and slow to go rancid, which is one of its biggest advantages as a formulation base.
